- Samora Watson started the Central scoring with a contested pull-up jumper at the 8:37 mark in the first. Central took an early 19-9 lead with 2:56 left in the quarter but a 7-2 run from Morgan State ended the quarter 22-16.
- Central Connecticut took their largest lead of the game when Samora Watson converted an and one with 5:37 left in the second quarter extending Central's lead to 32-22.
- Morgan State ended the quarter with another 7-2 burst, bringing them within 5 at the half (37-32 CCSU).

Central was forced to foul and Morgan State came out with a 68-65 victory.
