
Women’s Basketball Hosts UAlbany for Faculty Appreciation Night
The women's basketball team will host UAlbany on Wednesday at 7 pm, to celebrate Faculty Appreciation Night.
The Central Connecticut women's basketball team will host 'Faculty Appreciation Night'' on Wednesday night versus the Great Danes of UAlbany. The game will tip-off at 7:00 pm at the Detrick Gym. Admission is free for the entirety of the women's basketball regular season.
Saturday night we will also be giving out ice scrapers to the first 100 fans thanks to our sponsors at Achieve Financial Credit Union!

- The Blue Devils have the best turnover margin in the league (3.25). They force 18.5 turnovers a game which ranks second in the conference.
- CCSU has two of the top five NEC leaders in steals per game. Belle Lanpher averages 2.5 and Samora Watson averages 2 a game.
- Samora Watson came off the bench after not traveling with the team vs Illinois on Wednesday due to illness. The sophomore had a career night, scoring 38 points, with 5 rebounds and 2 steals.
- Watson leads the conference in FG% at a .433 clip. She leads the team along with being second in the conference in scoring (16.4ppg). Watson is also second on the team in rebounding (4.1pg).
- Central is among the best free-throw shooting teams in the Northeast Conference at 72.3%.
- The Blue Devils have made 77% of their foul shots in the last three games, led by Belle Lanpher who ranks fourth in the conference at 81%.
- Meghan Kenefick leads the team in blocks with 1.1 per game. The senior tallied 3 vs Fairfield and has had multiple blocks or steals in each of the last three games.
