The Blue Devils take on Merrimack for a Saturday afternoon game at 1:00 for our Mental Health Awareness game.

The Blue Devils and Warriors are meeting for the second time this season. Merrimack leads the all-time series, 6-3, and Merrimack has won the last three meetings.

- Central Connecticut (5-16, 3-5 NEC) welcomes Merrimack (7-14, 4-4 NEC) to the Detrick Gym for a Northeast Conference matchup on Saturday afternoon.
- The Blue Devils fell to the Warriors 71-53 in the team's last action at Hammel Court on January 15th. Alonna Sellers' team-high 14 points weren't enough in the loss.
- Head coach Way Veney is in her third season at the helm of the Blue Devils.

- In their previous matchup, Merrimack outscored the Blue Devils 24-to-8 in the third quarter. They were 4-for-7 beyond the arc and shot 57.1% to the Blue Devils 15.4% from the floor. Alonna Sellers led CCSU with 14 points and 5 rebounds. Amaya Williams added 13 points for Central Connecticut and was a perfect 3-for-3 from the line.
- The Blue Devils are led by Samora Watson (17.2p, 5.9r) and Belle Lanpher (13.0p, 2.9a). Lanpher had 15 while Watson poured in 27 points in their first road victory vs Saint Francis on Thursday night.
- Alonna Sellers will be a key factor in this game vs a big and physical Merrimack squad. She scored a team-high 14 points in their last meeting with the Warriors.
- Samora Watson became just the sixth player in NCAA Division I this season to post multiple 35-plus-point games on Thursday when she dropped 35 points, including the game-tying three-pointer at the end of regulation, in the Blue Devils' overtime defeat at FDU. The sophomore guard, who ranks second in the NEC in scoring with 16.6 points per game, averaged 20.5 points, 7.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists for Central Connecticut in two games last week.
