KEY MOMENTS
- The Blue Devils and Red Flash started the game trading baskets with Samora Watson tacking on a quick four points to give CCSU an 11-7 lead with 6:07 left in the first quarter.
- Meghan Kenefick scored the last bucket of the first quarter to tie the game at 19. The score would remain 19-19 at the end of the first stanza.
- Kenefick picked up where she left off with the first basket of the first quarter to give Central a 21-19 lead until the 7:23 mark of the second quarter.
- Saint Francis and Central Connecticut traded baskets throughout the second quarter, but Central had a slight 30-29 lead into the locker room. Samora Watson made a layup with 0:34 seconds left in the first half.
- Alonna Sellers knocked down a jumper to open the third quarter and extend Central's lead to 32-29 with 9:50 left in the third. Samora Watson scored her nineteenth point with 5:02 left to go in the third and helped her team extend to a 40-35 lead. Saint Francis went on a 10-2 run, but Central fought back and a basket from Samora Watson with 2:00 left in the third knotted the game at 46-46. Both teams were scoreless for the rest of the third quarter.
- Central Connecticut broke a 3:50-minute scoring drought with a layup from Ally Sentance with 7:50 left in the fourth that gave CCSU a 48-46 lead. Samora Watson knocked down two free throws with 1:31 left to go to give Central a 60-54 lead. The Blue Devils would hold on down the stretch with game-sealing free throws by Belle Lanpher.
