
Women's Basketball Welcomes FDU for Regular Season Finale
The Blue Devils take on FDU on Thursday night's regular-season finale at 7:00 in the Detrick Gymnasium.
The Blue Devils take on FDU on Thursday night's regular-season finale at 7:00 in the Detrick Gymnasium. The Blue Devils will be celebrating the LGBTQ+ community with, 'Pride Night.' Admission is free and the game will be streamed on NEC Front row for a 7:00 tip.
The Blue Devils and Warriors are meeting for the second time this season. FDU leads the all-time series, 21-19, and has won the last six meetings.

OPENING NOTES
- Central Connecticut (9-19, 7-8) is back home to face The FDU Knights (4-23, 4-10). The Blue Devils are coming off two road wins last week vs LIU and Stonehill.
- Head coach Way Veney is in her first season at the helm of the Blue Devils.
- The Knights are coming off a 59-51 win over Wagner on Saturday afternoon.
- Central Connecticut clinched the playoffs with a 65-56 victory over LIU and will compete in the first round of the NEC tournament on Monday, 3/11 at 7 PM.
WITH A CCSU WIN...
- The Blue Devils would improve to 7-8 in the NEC, they currently stand in 5th behind Merrimack (8-7), with one game left.
- And a Merrimack loss... Central Connecticut would host their first playoff game since the 2014-2015 season.
- Coach Way Veney would collect her 8th conference win. She would tie Yvette Harris for the most conference wins in their first year as Head Coach of the Blue Devils.
NOTABLES
- Samora Watson leads the Blue Devils with 17.3 points per game shooting .413 from the field. In Thursday night's contest vs LIU, she was 7-for-12 with two three-pointers and went 4-for-5 from the line. Watson has scored double figures in all but seven games. She scored 16 vs Stonehill.
- Meghan Kenefick added 12 points on 6-of-12 shooting with six rebounds and tied a career-high in assists (5) in Thursday night's victory over LIU.
- Alonna Sellers and Cierra Pearson each added a team-high eight rebounds off the bench in their last game. Sellers also had ten points and a block.
- The Blue Devils season-high in points in their last matchup vs FDU.
