Women's Basketball Announces the Signing of Jessica Farrell
Central Connecticut head women's basketball coach Way Veney has announced the addition of Jessica Farrell, who signed a National Letter of Intent to join the program for the 2024-25 season. The Bethlehem, PA native is the first commitment CCSU has received for next season.
Farrel is a 5'8 combo guard who is an elite on-ball defender who can score in a variety of ways. She plays for Shayla Zezze at Millbrook School, a preparatory boarding school where she is a versatile athlete participating in volleyball and track as well as basketball. She is interested in studying Robotics and Mechatronics Engineering Technology at CCSU.
Coach Way is excited to add Farrel's dynamic guard play that will help in playing an uptempo style of basketball. "Jess will bring speed and athleticism at the guard position," said Veney. She is a facilitator but can score in a variety of ways...what I am most excited about is she is an elite defender."
The Blue Devils continue the 2023-24 season with a game at Illinois Wednesday night, at 7 PM.
