The Central Connecticut women's basketball team defeated The Stonehill Skyhawks, 71-59, at The Detrick Gym on Monday evening.

KEY MOMENTS
- Samora Watson canned the first basket for the Blue Devils to get her team going. Central Connecticut and the Skyhawks traded baskets, but Cetrla went on to outscore the Skyhawks 13 to 12 in the quarter.
- In the second quarter, Belle Lanpher came out hot and nailed a three-pointer to give Central an 18-14 lead with 8:14 left. Stonehill hit back-to-back triples and a jumper with 4:14 to go to take a 23-22 lead.
- The Blue Devils came storming back with three-pointers from Ally Sentacne and Amaya Williams as Central ended the quarter on a 13-0 run. Central Connecticut went into the locker room with their biggest first-half lead of the year (35-23).
- Amaya Willians nailed a three-pointer at the 8:06 mark to extend the Blue Devil lead to 42-25, but a 14-2 run made it a 44-39 ballgame with 2:43 left in the third quarter.
- Meghan Kenefick added to Central's lead in the fourth quarter with a three-pointer at the 8:45 mark to give her team a 53-42 lead.
- Stonehill made a small comeback with Brooke Paquette hitting a triple to cut Central's lead to 63-53 with 2:09 left in the game.
- Central Connecticut was able to make their free throws at the end of the game and seal a 71-59 win at The Detrick Gymnasium Monday evening.
