Blue Devils Look for Season Split with Sacred Heart Monday
Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
The Central Connecticut women's basketball team looks to earn a season split with the Pioneers of Sacred Heart on Monday, Jan. 27. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. inside Detrick Gymnasium and the game will be streamed live on NEC Front Row. Central looks to win back-to-back games coming off a 66-53 win over Wagner on Saturday. Junior Ashley Forker led the Blue Devils with a career-high 23 points.

Last Time Out • The Blue Devils edged a 66-63 win over Wagner earning its first NEC victory. The Seahawks scored to go ahead 63-62 with 22.3 seconds to play, but Central went 4-4 from the foul line in the last 15 seconds to take the win. Ashley Forker finished with 23 points and Ashley Berube and Emma McCamus each had 12 points a piece. The team shot a season-high 94.7 percent (18-19) from the foul line.
Earlier This Season • In the first match-up (Jan. 3) Sacred Heart defeated Central 66-58. CCSU led for 25:23 of the game and had a 12 point lead with 7:21 to play in the third, but the Pioneers shot 46.2 percent (6-13) from three in the second half to battle back and earn the win. Ashley Berube led the Blue Devils with 16 points and a career-high 18 rebounds, putting her tied for fifth in the record books for most rebounds in a single game. She shot .500 percent (8-16) from the floor. Adrianne Hagood had 18 points for the Pioneers.
Most Recent for the Pioneers • Sacred Heart snapped a three-game skid defeating Fairleigh Dickinson 68-53. Adrianne Hagood scored almost a third of SHU's points netting 22 against the Knights. After struggling offensively for the past three games, SHU shot 42.9 percent from the floor and lead for over 38 minutes of the game.
With a Win... • The Blue Devils would win back-to-back games for the first time this season....Central would earn its second conference win and put the Pioneers are 4-4 in league...CCSU would earn a season split with Sacred Heart.
