Women's Hoops Welcomes Wagner Saturday
Tip-off is scheduled for 1 p.m.
The Central Connecticut women's basketball team is back home in New Britain after playing three games on the road. The team hosts Wagner at 1 p.m. in game one of a double-header on Saturday, Jan. 25. The Blue Devils look to earn their second win of the season and first conference victory.
Over the weekend, junior Ashley Berube averaged 20.5 points per game and 6.5 rebounds per game. She led the Blue Devils in scoring in both games and posted her third 20+ point game at FDU after scoring 23 points. The center went 10-12 from the foul line and 65.2 percent from the floor. Berube has scored double-figures in the past nine games.

The team trailed by just nine at the end of the third, but went 1-6 from the floor in the fourth scoring just nine points, seven coming from the foul line. Ashley Berube posted her third 20+ point game of the season ending with 23 points, four rebounds and one block.
Series History with the Seahawks • This is the 46th matchup between the Blue Devils and Seahawks with Central leading the series 29-16. Wagner swept CCSU last season, but Central is 7-3 in the last 10 meetings with the Seahawks.
Most Recent for Wagner • Wagner recently defeated LIU 63-61 in overtime earning its second striaght win. The Seahawks sank a jumper with 35 seconds left in overtime to take a one point lead then Alayshia Dacis went 1-2 from the foul line to edge out the win.
With a Win... • Central would earn its second win of the season and first NEC victory...The Blue Devils wold snap a seven game slump and two game losing streak against the Seahawks.
