Central Faces Duquesne Tuesday
The game will be played at Oakland Catholic High School.
The Central Connecticut women's basketball team travels to Pittsburgh, PA to play the Dukes of Duquesne on Tuesday, Nov. 26. Due to renovations on campus, the game will be held at Oakland Catholic High School. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
Central enters the contest 0-4 after falling to Lehigh 70-51. This is the fourth road game for the Blue Devils, the team returns to Detrick Gym on Sunday, Dec. 1 when it hosts Albany. The Dukes are coming off a 81-62 win over Pittsburgh and are 4-2 on the season.

Last Time Out • Central fell to Lehigh 70-51 last week in Bethlehem, PA. The team held the Mountain Hawks to just 27.8 percent shooting from the floor in the first quarter, but struggled to take care of the ball totaling 24 turnovers. CCSU had just one player hit double-digits (Forker, 12pts).
Series History • This is the second ever matchup between the Dukes and the Blue Devils. The teams first met in the 2017-18 season with the Dukes winning 83-58.
Most Recent for the Dukes • Duquesne recently defeated Pittsburgh 81-62 on Saturday for its fourth win of the season. Amaya Hamilton led the team with 17 points. The Dukes are on a four-game winning streak.
Focus on Forker • In the first four games, junior Ashley Forker is shooting .556 from behind the arc. She is 10-18 from deep and is currently 18th in the nation for three-point shooting percentage. Against Pitt, she made five triples, shooting 5-9 from deep scoring a career-high 15 points. The Telford, PA native is averaging 12.3 points per game along with 4.5 rebounds. Forker is second on the team in scoring with 49 points.
McCamus Nets Career High • In the home-opener against Brown, junior Emma McCamus scored a career-high 30 points. She shot 9-16 from the floor, including 5-8 from three-point range, along with a perfect 7-7 from the foul line. The last time a Blue Devil scored 30 points in a game was Jaclyn Babe at Quinnipiac on Jan. 28, 2013. McCamus is shooting 81.3 percent from the charity stripe and leads the team in scoring (14.8 ppg).
With a Win... • CCSU would earn its first win of the season...It would be the 150th career win for head coach Beryl Piper...Central would tie the series with the Dukes 1-1.
