Blue Devils to Face Knights on MLK Day

The Central Connecticut women's basketball team closes its three-game road series at Fairleigh Dickinson on Monday, Jan. 20 at 1 p.m. inside the Rothman Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 1 p.m. and the game will be streamed live on NEC Front Row. The Blue Devils look to earn its first conference win and snap a six game skid.

Last Time Out • The Blue Devils recently fell to the Mountaineers 72-64 on Saturday. The team trailed by as much as 22, but cut the lead to just six with 1:30 to play. Central outscored the Mount 24-13 in the final quarter, but the Mount defense held the Blue Devils to just eight points in the second quarter making the deficit too much to overcome. Ashley Forker scored a career-high 17 points, grabbed eight rebounds and dished seven assists. Ashley Berube posted 18 points and nine rebounds.
Series History with the Knights • This is the 44th match-up between the Blue Devils and Knights with Central leading the overall series 25-18. FDU swept Central last season, but in the past 10 meetings the Blue Devils are 6-4.
Most Recent for the FDU • The Knights gave Sacred Heart its first conference loss with a 65-60 win on Saturday. The team shot 66.7 percent in the second half and led by as much as 17 points in the third quarter. The Pioneers rallied back, but FDU was able to pull out the win and were led by Rachel Niles who scored 11 points.
