Central Visits Pittsburgh Monday

The Central Connecticut women's basketball team plays its second non-conference contest on Monday night against ACC opponent Pittsburgh. The game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. inside the Petersen Events Center in Pittsburgh, PA. The game will be streamed live on the ACC Network.
CCSU recently dropped a 61-56 decision at Buffalo in its season opener on Nov. 5. Junior Emma McCamus led the Blue Devils with 13 points and shot 5-7 from the foul line. In her collegiate debut, rookie Jamey Napoleon totaled nine points, seven rebounds, three steals and one block. CCSU held Buffalo to 33.3% shooting, but struggled offensively shooting under 30 percent on the game.

Series History • Today's game marks the second meeting between the Blue Devils and Panthers. The last time these teams faced each other was in the 2003-04 season with Pitt winning 75-59.
Most Recent for the Panthers • Pittsburgh recently fell to UCF 74-58 on Nov. 6 in its season opener. Gabbie Green (18pts, 3reb) and Aysia Bugg (17pts, 3reb) led the Panthers. Last season Pitt finished 11-20 overall and 2-14 in the ACC.
With a Win... • CCSU would earn its first win of the season...It would be the first time in program history Central has beaten Pittsburgh...Central will have its first 1-1 record in the first two games since the 2015-16 season.
