Two Players Commit to Women's Basketball for 2020-21 Season
Isabelle Lanpher and Ali Napoli will join the women's basketball team next season.
Head Coach Beryl Piper announced Isabelle Lanpher and Ali Napoli to the Central Connecticut women's basketball team. The two signees will join the Blue Devils for the 2020-21 season.
Lanpher is a 5'4 point guard from Wachusett Regional High School in Holden, MA. "Belle is an under the radar point guard who is fearless and plays with a chip on her shoulder," said Coach Piper. The Princeton, MA native will add depth for Central in the back court. "Belle is strong getting to the rim and finding her teammates and her hard work has made her into a three- point threat. I love her energy and enthusiasm for the game."
Napoli comes from Amesbury High School in Amesbury, MA. "I am very excited to bring this multi-sport athlete into our program," said Piper. "She has an amazing ability to anticipate on defense and her ability to hit the three and stretch the defense will be valuable for us. She is a hard working and focused young women. I can't wait to see her in a Blue Devil uniform." Napoli is a senior at Amesbury High School in Amesbury, MA where she was a three-year All CAL First Team All-Star in soccer and a three-time Daily News All-Star in basketball. She also earned the CAL Baker Division Most Valuable Player award as a sophomore for basketball.
After joining the Blue Devils squad earlier this school year through the Team Impact Program, Ericka Aponte Rodriguez will continue to be a member of the women's basketball team next season. "We are very excited to have this young woman who has shown so much courage and strength in the past year continue to be part of the team."
The Blue Devils are back in action on Saturday, Jan. 18 at Mount St. Mary's.
