Women's Basketball Downed by Sacred Heart 66-58

The Central Connecticut women's basketball team fell to Sacred Heart 66-58 Wednesday afternoon inside the Pitt Center in Fairfield, CT. Junior Ashley Berube led the Blue Devils with 16 points and a career-high 18 rebounds, putting her tied for fifth in the record books for most rebounds in a single game. She shot .500 percent (8-16) from the floor.
CCSU led for 25:23 of the game and had a 12 point lead with 7:21 to play in the third, but the Pioneers shot 46.2 percent (6-13) from three in the second half to battle back and earn the win. Adrianne Hagood had 18 points for the Pioneers.
