Central Meets with Bryant on Saturday in Smithfield
CCSU closes a three-game road series at Bryant.
The Central Connecticut women's basketball team meets with the Bryant Bulldogs for the first time this season on Saturday, Feb. 8 in Smithfield, RI. The team will host Bryant a week from Saturday on Feb. 15. CCSU looks to earn its third win of the season and second conference victory on the year, while giving the Bulldogs its fourth straight loss. Tip-off is scheduled for 1 p.m. and will streamed live on ESPN+. The men's team takes on the Bulldogs following the women at 4 p.m.

Last Time Out • The Blue Devils came up short against Saint Francis U 72-68 on Monday. CCSU led by as much as 13 in the first half and shot 7-12 (.583) from behind the arc in the first 20 minutes of action. Central trailed by just three with 22.2 seconds left to play, but the Red Flash went 7-8 from the foul line to secure the win. Tiffany Slicklein posted a season-high 14 points and Forever Toppin dropped a career-high 11 points for the Blue Devils.
Series History with Bryant • This marks the 25th meeting between the Blue Devils and Bulldogs with Bryant holding a slight 13-11 edge in the overall series. In the last eight match ups the teams sit at an even 4-4. Neither team has won back-to-back games since the 2015-16 season when Bryant swept Central.
Most Recent for the Bulldogs • Bryant fell to the current NEC leader Robert Morris 69-39. The Colonials outscored the Bulldogs 31-14 in the second half. Sydney Holloway led the Black and Gold with 17 points and was one rebound shy of breaking through to 1,000 career rebounds.
