Forker Nets Career-High, Blue Devils Fall at Mount 72-64
Ashley Forker scored a career-high 17 points.
The Central Connecticut women's basketball team fell to the Mountaineers 72-64 on Saturday afternoon inside Knott Arena in Emmitsburg, PA. Junior Ashley Berube led the Blue Devils with 18 points and nine rebounds shooting 7-10 (.700) from the floor. Classmate Ashley Forker scored a career-high scoring 17 points along with eight rebounds and seven assists.
The Blue Devils shot 23-59 (.390) from the floor, while Mount St. Mary's was 27-51 (.529). The Mountaineers shot 71.4 percent in the third quarter, outscoring the Blue Devils 25-14. Central cut the lead to seven with 1:30 to play, and won the fourth quarter 24-13, but the third quarter surge by the Mountaineers was too much to overcome.
