Fourth Quarter Run Sends Owls Past Blue Devils 72-54

The Central Connecticut women's basketball team fell to Conference USA opponent Florida Atlantic 72-54 on Sunday afternoon inside FAU Arena in Boca Raton, Fla. Junior Emma McCamus led Central with 12 points, scoring 10 in the opening quarter. The Blue Devils fall to 0-9 on the year as FAU improves to 6-3.
Central went into the halftime break with a slight 34-33 lead after shooting 41.4 (12-29) percent from the floor. The team trailed by just four points going into the final quarter, but FAU outscored CCSU 22-8 to take the win. Freshman Dejah Jenkins scored a season-high eight points shooting 2-4 from behind the arc.
