McCamus Nets Career High, Women's Basketball Shortened by Brown 83-73
Junior Emma McCamus scored a career-high 30 points.
The Central Connecticut women's basketball team dropped to 0-3 on the season with an 83-73 home loss to Brown on Thursday night. Junior Emma McCamus scored a career-high 30 points in the game to pace the Blue Devil offense. She added a pair of assists and three steals in the loss. Junior Ashley Berube added 14 points and eight rebounds in the game. The Blue Devils climbed to within two points in the fourth quarter, but an 11-0 run by Brown put the game out of reach with under three minutes play.
The Blue Devils, playing for the first time at home this season, will head back on the road on Monday at Lehigh.
Central made 10-of-22 threes in the game, and hit on 19-of-22 free-throws, including 7-of-7 from McCamus on her way to the career-high.
