Snoddy Claims Sixth NEC Rookie of the Week Nod
Freshman Andre Snoddy of the Central Connecticut men's basketball squad was named Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week on Monday. Snoddy earned the honor for the sixth time this season.
The Melville, NY native amassed 10.5 ppg, 8.5 rpg, 3.5 apg and 1.0 spg, while shooting 53.8% from the floor and 87.5% from the line last week versus Bryant and Wagner. Snoddy grabbed 10 rebounds at Bryant – his fifth game of double-digit rebounds in conference play. He added eight points, four assists and a steal. He scored 13 points at Wagner and has scored in double-figures eight times in league play. Snoddy was 7-of-8 at the foul line in the game and added seven rebounds, three asists and a steal.
Snoddy is the top freshman and ranks eighth overall with 7.1 rebounds per game. He also ranks 11th in the league with a .481 field goal percentage. He scores 8.1 points and plays 28.9 minutes per game on the season.
The honor is Snoddy's sixth of the season, which is tied for the sixth-most in a single-season in league history.
The Blue Devils play at Saint Francis U on Thursday.
