Men's Basketball Falls to the Warriors at Home
Central Connecticut men's basketball was defeated by Merrimack on Saturday, falling to the Warriors in a 66-57 loss.

KEY MOMENTS
- The Blue Devils got off to a slow start from the floor which helped the Warriors jump out to a quick 14-5 lead over CCSU.
- Scantlebury turned things up after this and scored eight straight points from the floor, forcing the Blue Devils back into this one.
- Stephane Ayangma came into the game for two four-minute bursts in the first and made a big impact on the floor. In the first stint, Ayangma grabbed two steals, two rebounds and three points in five minutes. In his next rotation, Ayangma grabbed another offensive rebound and put up three more points.
- A Jayden Brown freethrow cut the Merrimack lead to 33-30 heading into the half.
- The start of the second half was a tale of two teams on Saturday. The Blue Devils were cold to start - just two made baskets over the first nine minutes, while the Warriors went on a 16 point run to extend the lead.
- The Blue Devils kept clawing back into this one; Ostrowsky drilled a three to cut the lead to seven, Scantlebury converted all three attempts from the line on a three point foul, but the Warriors were able to squeek by the Blue Devils and ice the game with some good clock management.

- The Blue Devils were without the services of four players today.
- Saturday's game ran through Scantlebury, who added in an impressive 13 points, six rebounds, five assists, two steals and a block.
- Krishnan lit things up on offense as he typically does, dropping in a team-high 18 points on 7-12 shooting.
- CCSU outrebounded Merrimack 32-28, but had some trouble inside on offense as the Warriors went for nine blocks.
