Men's Basketball Rains Treys in Win Over Hartford Saturday
The Central Connecticut men's basketball downed Hartford, 75-65, in men's basketball action at Detrick Gymnasium on Saturday. The Blue Devils connected on 10 three-pointers and had four players in double-figures in the victory.
Junior Ian Krishnan had a team-high 21 points and was 4-for-4 on three-pointers. Junior Nigel Scantlebury added 18 points, while junior Tre Mitchell and freshman Andre Snoddy each added 12 points. Central shot 23-of-49 (.469) from the field and was 10-of-19 (.526) on three-pointers. The Blue Devils shot 19-of-27 (.704) at the foul line.
Moses Flowers led Hartford with 24 points and nine rebounds. The Hawks shot 22-of-53 (.415) overall and 8-of-28 (.286) from the arc. Hartford was 13-of-17 (.765) at the foul line.

- Central scored six straight points to take an early 8-3 lead, capped off by a three-point play by Snoddy. The Hawks would keep the game tight throughout the first half before taking the lead midway through the period. UHart would outscore Central, 9-3, over a four-minute span to take its largest lead of the fram. A putback by Flowers would make it 31-22 with 3:33 to go in the half.
- CCSU responded with nine straight points, jumpstarted by consecutive treys from Krishnan and Mitchell. A pair of foul shots from Krishnan would tie the game at 31-31 with 0:23 to go in the period. Following a foul shot by Hartford, Krishnan was fould on a three-pointer with 0.5 seconds to play. He would make all three foul shots to make it 34-32 at the half.
- The Blue Devils led throughout the second half and did not let the Hawks closer than 36-35 following a three-pointer in the opening moments.
