Men's Basketball Announces Addition of Kellen Amos
Central Connecticut head men's basketball coach Patrick Sellers has announced the addition of Kellen Amos to the program for the 2022-23 season. Amos is the fourth signing for the Blue Devils to be announced for the upcoming season.
Amos is a 6-foot-7 guard from Houston, TX, who played two seasons at Binghamton University. He made one start and played in 23 games as a sophomore while averaging 6.7 points on 43 percent shooting. He scored a career-high 26 points in a win at Sacred Heart on Nov. 14. As a senior at St. John XXIII College Prep he averaged 23.5 points and 6.8 rebounds and led the team in three-pointers. Amos shot 56 percent from floor and 34 percent from three-point range while scoring more than 1,200 points. He was a two-time First Team TAPPS All-District 4-6A selection and earned honorable mention all-state accolades while being a candidate for the Guy V. Lewis Player of the Year Award, annually given to the top high school player in the Houston area.
"We are excited to have Kellen join the Central Connecticut family," said Sellers. "He is long and athletic and will be a great addition to our roster as we continue to build a foundation for success at Central Connecticut."
