
800 Free Relay Places 30th At NIC
Wroblewski swam the 400 IM and finished 35th
The Central Connecticut State swimming and diving team picked up 11 points with a 30th-place finish in the 800 freestyle relay on day two of the CSCAA National Invitational Championship in Ocala, FL.
The Blue Devils finished with a time of 7:38.80. Katrine O'Leary led off with a 1:55.64 and Megan Dunningan followed with a split of 1:52.72. Abbey Keane swam the third leg at 1:55.29 and Sophie Milhomens anchored with a split of 1:55.15.
Gabi Wroblewski swam the 400 IM on Friday morning, touching in 35th place after going 4:26.52.
CCSU wraps up its three-day competition on Saturday with individual swims from Keane, Milhomens and Dunnigan. Milhomens will swim the 200 butterfly and 200 backstroke, Keane will swim the 1,650, with the 1,000-yard split counting as a separate race and Dunnigan will swim the 200 backstroke.
The CSCAA National Invitational Championship provides a post-season championship event for Division I swimmers and divers that have achieved B/Zone standards, but are not selected for the NCAA Division I Championships.
