
Blue Devils Win Four Times On Second Day At UNH
Maziarz captures three-meter diving, while Milhomens captured 200 back
The Central Connecticut State swimming and diving team finished its two-day dual with the University of New Hampshire Saturday morning. The Blue Devils fell 203.5-141.5 to fall to 1-1 in dual action.
The Blue Devils are back in action next Saturday for a double-dual hosted by Southern Connecticut State, with NEC foe Wagner in attendance.
STROKES
- Sophie Milhomens picked up an individual win in the 200-backstroke with a 2:06.87 swim, while Megan Dunnigan placed third at 2:10.74
- Cassidy Stotler posted the second fastest time in the 200-breaststroke, touching a 2:24.78
- Gabi Wroblewski placed third in the 400 IM with a swim of 4:39.23, followed by Milhomens (4:46.97) and Morgan O'Hara (4:50.38)
- Dunningan was fourth in the 100 fly, at 1:01.40, with Cowing fifth at 1:02.54
FREESTYLE
- Katrine O'Leary touched second in the 100-freestyle, clocking a swim of 53.61
- Abbey Keane swam to third place in the 500 free, at 5:12.67, with Shannon Welcome (5:15.45) and Spaciano (5:15.47) right behind
DIVING
- Jewelle Maziarz earned the win on the 3-meter board, scoring 252.20 points
- Zoe Baker claimed third place with a 177.83 points
RELAYS
- O'Leary (27.73), Cassidy Stotler (30.56), Dunnigan (27.17) and Cowing (25.13) placed second in the 200-medley relay, opening the session with a swim of 1:50.09
- O'Leary (52.98), Kelly Stotler (53.95), Spaciano (54.62) and Welcome (53.32) combined for first place in the 400 freestyle relay
