Baker, Stotler Earn NEC Weekly Awards
Duo honored for performances in Blue Devils win over
Zoe Baker and Cassidy Stotler were named Northeast Conference Diver and Swimmer of the Week, following their performance in the Central Connecticut State swimming and diving dual meet win over Stony Brook.
Baker was part of a pair of diving sweeps for the Blue Devils. She captured the 3-meter event, with 229.20 points, to lead a 1-2-3 sweep of the event. She placed second on the low board, accumulating 219 points.
Stotler won a pair of individual events for Central, inlcuding a 2:09.93 swim in the 200 yard IM, the second fastest swim in the league this season. She then dropped the fastest 200-yard breaststroke in the conference this season, winning the event with a 2:23.93 time.
The Blue Devils are back in action Friday and Saturday at New Hampshire for a two-day dual meet.
