
Swimming & Diving Concludes Championship Prep With Final Dual at UConn
Blue Devils begin defense of NEC Championships on February 20.
The Central Connecticut State swimming and diving team travelled to UConn for a dual meet Friday night.
- Abbey Keane went 10:24.32 to pace the Blue Devils distance freestyle effort.
- Kelly Stotler posted a season-best in the 200 free, touching at 1:56.34
- Sophie Milhomens' 2:08.96 was a season-best and good for second in the 200 butterfly
- Shannon Welcome went 53.30 in the 100 freestyle
- Megan Dunningan also posted a season-best in the 200 backstroke with a 2:07.49
- Gabby Spaciano went 5:12.29 in the 500 freestyle
- The 400 free relay of Katrine O'Leary, Spaciano, Kelly Stotler and Welcome went a season-best time of 3:33.17
- Kaitlyn Carroll's 227.70 was the Blue Devils top effort on the 3-meter, while Jewelle Maziarz scored 243.98 on 1-meter.
The meet concludes the Blue Devils dual meet schedule. CCSU will begin defense of its Northeast Conference championship, February 20-24 at Spire Institute in Geneva, OH.
