
Women's Basketball to Host Stonehill in Conference Opener
The Central Connecticut State University women's basketball team opens the new year and conference play against Stonehill on Monday at 4:00pm. The game will take place at home at Detrick Gymnasium. This will be the first game between the Blue Devils and the Skyhawks since the early 1980s and Stonehill leads 3-0. This is also Stonehill women’s basketball’s first conference game as a part of the NEC.

• Lara Rohkohl led the Blue Devils against Boston College with 5 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 blocks. Jenkins scored 7 points and tallied one block and one assist.
• Belle Lanpher led the Blue Devils against Providence with 15 points and Hartford with 16 points, a new season high.
• Along with Lanpher, three other Blue Devils scored in double figures against the Hawks. Kenefick had 14 points, and Rohkohl and Toppin each had 12 points.
• Lara Rohkohl was named NEC Rookie of the Week for the second time this season on December 19th. She scored in double figures for the second time this season to help lead the Blue Devils to their first road win of the season against the University of Hartford. Rohkohl went 5-of-6 from the field along with a 2-for-2 effort from the free throw line.
• Rohkohl, Lanpher, and Kenefick were named NEC Prime Performers for the week of 12/19.
• Amaya Williams scored in double digits against the Friars, finishing with 10 points, matching her career high.
• Dejah Jenkins scored 16 points against UMass Lowell, her sixth double-digit scoring effort this season, and is ninth in scoring in the NEC at 10.5 points per game
• Newcomer Lara Rohkohl corralled a career-best 15 rebounds, six offensive, versus Bryant, earning her the NEC Rookie of the Week title December 5th.
• Alli Napoli had a career-high of 11 rebounds, five offensive, against UMass Lowell.
• The Blue Devils recorded 11 steals against UNH, the second game this season with double-digit steals
• The Blue Devils scored 25 points in the second quarter against Hartford and now have 20 or more points in six quarters this season.
• Two Blue Devils are in the top-10 in the league in rebounding, with Lara Rohkohl at 4th (6.4 per game) and Meghan Kenefick at 6th (5.9 per game).
