Central Connecticut infielder Ramon Jimenez was named Northeast Conference Baseball co-Player of the Week it was announced Tuesday.
Jimenez had a monster weekend for the Blue Devils in their conference series at Wagner. In the opening game of the series he enjoyed a record-setting day at the plate. He went 6-for-6 with four doubles, a homerun and 11 RBIs, a total tied for the second-most in a game in the NCAA this season. Jimenez's 11 RBIs set a NEC single-game record (dating back to 2004 when game-by-game tracking began) and his six hits and four doubles both tied league game marks. It was the most hits in an NEC game since 2015 and most doubles in a contest since 2008.
