Baseball and Softball Host Hot Stove Dinner in Preparation for 2023 Season
Registration for the 2023 Annual Hot Stove Dinner for the Central Connecticut baseball and softball programs is now open. The dinner will be held on February, 4, 2023, ahead of the upcoming seasons for the Blue Devils squads. This year's event will include former big leaguer Jeff Frye as a featured speaker.
Registration for the 2023 Annual Hot Stove Dinner for the Central Connecticut baseball and softball programs is now open. The dinner will be held on February 4, 2023, ahead of the upcoming seasons for the Blue Devils squads. This year's event will include former big leaguer Jeff Frye as a featured speaker.

Alumni, family and friends of the programs are invited to come together for a night of reconnecting and showing support of the Blue Devils programs. Tickets for the Hot Stove Dinner are $75 and the evening will begin with an included cocktail hour reception from 5:00-6:30 p.m. followed by dinner. The evening will also include auctions, and raffle prizes.
Frye played for the Texas Rangers, Boston Red Sox, Colorado Rockies and Toronto Blue Jays during an eight-year career in the major leagues. He batted .290 and made history when he became the second player in franchise history to hit for the cycle when he accomplished the feat on August 17, 2001. Since retiring he has remained involved with baseball and continues to try and keep young fans engaged and broaden the appeal of baseball.
