KEY MOMENTS

LSU had a pair of run scoring doubles in the first and an RBI-groundout to jump out to a 4-0 lead. Jake Neuman kept the Tigers off the board in the second and third innings, but ran into trouble in the fourth after surrendering a pair of walks. Back-to-back RBI-hits and another walk would end his day as LSU got all the offense it would need.
- The Blue Devils loaded the bases with two outs in the fourth and chased LSU starter Chase Shores, but Nate Ackenhausen came on and got an inning ending strikeout. CCSU would load the bases with nobody out in the sixth inning but was unable to push a run across as the Tigers got a strikeout and a double-play to end the threat..

- Neuman started for CCSU and went 3.1 innings. He was saddled with the loss but recorded three strikeouts.
