KEY MOMENTS
- Northeastern took the early lead with two runs in the top of the second inning. Spenser Smith plated Mike Sirota on a groundout to make it 1-0 and Gregory Bozzo doubled the lead with a rbi-single.
- The Blue Devils would level the score in the bottom of the sixth inning. Danny Rogers drew a one-out walk and moved to second on a wild pitch. With two outs, Aidan Redahan singled to left field to drive in a run and advanced to second on the throw. Elliot Good followed with a single through the middle to drive in a run and tie the game at 2-2.
- The Huskies plated two runs in the seventh after a one-out walk and a double put runners on second and third. A sacrifice fly by Cam Maldonado was followed by a double from Danny Crossen to make it 4-2.
- NU added an insurance run in the eighth on a sac fly by Bozzo to make it 5-2.
NOTES
- Northeastern holds a 23-11 edge in the all-time series. The Huskies have won the last seven meetings dating back to March 20, 2012.
- CCSU had its 10-game win streak snapped. The streak was the second-longest in the country entering the day and the longest for the Blue Devils since 1999.
- Drew Munn started for the Blue Devils and threw 3.0 innings. Central used eight pitchers in the game.
- Hunter Pasqualini had two hits for CCSU, while Joe Rios also had one base hit and they each extended hitting streaks to 11 games.
