
Four Top-Three Finishes Showcase Women's Track & Field At Flagship Spring Invite
Stewart and Jenson lead the way with silver medal efforts
The Central Connecticut women's track and field team had four top-three finishes at the 2025 UMass Flagship Spring Invitational on Saturday, in Amherst, MA.
The Blue Devils on Friday, April 11th at the Conn College Silfen Distance Events and the at the SCSU Invitational on Saturday, April 12th.
- Wenesha Stewart took silver the shot put, throwing 12.85m on her opening throw
- Isabella Jensen captured silver in the 3000m steeplechase, with a time of 11:54.31, with Isabella Mondo fifth in a time of 12:14.04
- Taina DeJesus captured bronze in the 400m hurdles with a run of 1:07.35, with Alexandra Edwards fifth in a time of 1:09.97
- The 4x400 team of Mya Morabito, Kaylee Gravel, Rachel Bartolucci and Oliwia Marecik took third with a time of 4:23.52
- Marina Perry placed fourth, with a 12.26m effort on her final throw and Sarah Ovesny was 10th with a 10.99m throw on her first attempt
- Kayla Logan was the team's top finisher in the 400m dash, clocking 59.66 to finish fifth overall, while Kyrah Smith took seventh at 1:01.11
- Nuchwara Inthasit, Erin Egan, Jessica Farrell and Makayla Farrington combined to run 49.31 in the 4x100m relay, to place fourth
- Inthasit took fifth in the 100m dash, running 12.63
- Maya Marin picked up fifth place in the discus, throwing 36.58m on her final attempt, while Stewart finished seventh with a 34.87m throw on her last effort
- Perry (45.29m) and Ovesny (45.03m) finished fifth and seventh in the hammer throw
- Marin finished sixth in the javelin, throwing 37.04m in the sixth round
- Mya Morabito ran to an eighth-place finish in the 1500m, stopping the clock at 4:42.11
- Kaylee Gravel ran 2:22.20 in the 800m to finish eighth
