
Marin Javelin Bronze Highlights Women's Track & Field At Black & Gold
The Central Connecticut State track and field teams completed their two-day stay at the Black and Gold Invitational at Bryant University.
The Blue Devils are back in action on April 5th at the UMass Invitational.
- Maya Marin earned bronze in the javelin, throwing 40.17m
- Kayla Logan ran 1:00.27 to place fifth in the 400m
- Taina DeJesus was the fifth-place finisher in the 400m hurdles, with a time of 1:08.65
- Alexandria Klopfer ran the 3000m steeplechase in a time of 13:14.74, capturing eighth place
- The 4x400 relay of Kaylee Gravel, Logan, Alexandra Edwards and Kyrah Smith, ran 4:18.67
- Rebecca Carusone ran a personal-best 17:43.87 in the 5000m, which placed her eighth
- Kyrah Smith has a PB in her 200m dash, running 26.96, and Mia Savino has a personal-best effort in the pole vault, clearing 2.81m
