Women's Throwers Excel At Wesleyan January Indoor Invite

Stewart wins both shot put and weight throw

The Central Connecticut State throwers competed at the Wesleyan January Indoor Invitational in Middletown, CT on Saturday. The Blue Devils indoor track and field team will be back in action on January 31st at the BU Terrier Invitational.

Wenesha Stewart won the shot put, throwing 12.16m on her fourth attempt
Sarah Ovesny was third in the shot, throwing 11.33, on her opening throw
Stewart led a 1-2-3 sweep of the weight throw for the Blue Devils, winning with a throw of 14.26m
Payton Lowe moved into second place on her final effort, a mark of 13.50m and Ovesny finished third with a 13.29m effort
