Women's Track & Field Runs In Boston
Blue Devils paced by third place by Hurd in high jump
The Central Connecticut State women's track and field team competed at the BU Terrier Classic on Friday.
The Blue Devils return to action on February 8th with student-athletes splitting between the Scarlet & White Invitational at BU and the URI Coaches Invitational.
- Alissa Hurd captured bronze in the high jump, clearing 1.65m
- Nuchwara Inthasit ran to fourth in the 60m open event, posting 7.96
- Wenesha Stewart threw the shot put 12.98m, to finish sixth and Sarah Ovensy threw 10.59m, good for 18th
- Marina Perry finished 11th in the weight throw, with a 14.56m top effort, with Stewart 15th after a throw 14.30m
- Erin Egan was 21st in the long jump, posting a 4.91m jump and was 17th in the high jump, clearing 1.45m
- Kaylee Gravel was the top Blue Devil in the 500m, running 1:20.88 to finish 21st
- In the 200 Inthasit clocked a time of 25.88, to place 27th
- Juliana Cancellieri was the squads top finisher in the 5000m in 42nd place at 17:22.14 and Rebecca Carusone ran 17:58.68 and crossed 52nd
- Mya Morabito ran to 68th, out of 149 finishers, in the 800m, crossing the line with a time of 2:18.61
- Maegan Desmarais ran the mile in 5:27.58, in a field of 223 entrants
