Cancellieri, Hurd Performances Highlight First Day Of IC4A/ECAC Championships
Cancellieri was fifth in the 5000m and Hurd was fifth in the high jump
The Central Connecticut State women's indoor track and field team were in action on Saturday at the IC4A/ECAC Championships, hosted at the BU Track Facility. The women earned 7.50 points and are 11th out of 19 teams that have accrued points.
The two-day meet concludes on Sunday.
- Alissa Hurd cleared 1.63m in the high jump, capturing fifth place
- Julianna Cancellieri captured fifth place in the 5000m, running 17:14.27
- Mya Morabito placed 10th in the 800m run, clocking a time of 2:14.98, missing a spot in the final by .02 seconds
- Hurd went 9.18 in the 60m hurdles preliminaries
