Turley posted a pair of shutouts over the weekend, anchoring the Central Connecticut defense in a pair of 1-0 wins over UMass Lowell and Colgate. She played 191:44 minutes on the weekend and made 12 saves. The nine stops against Colgate on Sunday were a season-high for the two-time NEC Goalkeeper of the Year, who recorded her first shutouts and wins of the year.
Cafferky, the 2015 NEC Defensive Player of the Year, led the Blue Devils to their first two wins of the season last week. The senior scored the game-winning goal in a 1-0 win over UMass Lowell on Thursday when she headed in the ball off a corner kick just before the first half ended. She was also a key part of the defense that shutout both its opponents last week, including a 1-0 overtime win against Colgate on Sunday.
