
Women's Soccer Picked Second in Preseason NEC Coaches Poll
Blue Devils open play this Friday at St. John's
The Central Connecticut women's soccer team was picked to finish second in the Preseason Northeast Conference Coaches Poll release on Monday. The Blue Devils received the most first place votes (four) but finished behind 2015 NEC Champion Fairleigh Dickinson in the poll. The Blue Devils won the NEC title in 2014.
CCSU has its season-opener at St. John's on August 19. Fans can follow the action live on RedStormSports.
Central hosts Maine on Sunday, August 21, at 3:00 p.m. in its first home game of the season.
Following a week of practice the Blue Devils got their first action of the season with a preseason scrimmage against Hartford on CCSU Soccer Field on Friday, August 12. Head coach Mick D'Arcy and junior Jennifer Cafferky took some time to share their thoughts on the preseason and the match with Hartford following the scrimmage.
