Budge Named NEC Indoor Track & Field Track Athlete Of The Week

Budge has the top 800m time this indoor season in the NEC

Central Connecticut State junior Aiden Budge was named the Northeast Conference Indoor Track Athlete of the Week on Tuesday.

Budge ran the top 800m time of the season in the NEC on Friday, clocking a 1:53.72 at the Dr. Sander Scorcher. The time is the fastest in the NEC this season by 1.14 seconds. The effort was only .31 seconds shy of Budge's indoor PR, 1:53.41, at the 2024 NEC Indoor Track and Field Championship.

The effort on Friday is 27th best in the Northeast Region of NCAA Division I runners this season.

The Blue Devils are back in action on Friday, travelling to the BU Terrier Invitational on Saturday, February 1st.
