KEY MOMENTS
- The Blue Devils would give Spizzoucco an early cushion, scoring runs in the third and fifth innings to take a 2-0 lead. In the bottom of the third, Aidan Redahan led off with a single. A single by Brady Short and a ground out would put runners in scoring position for Dan Hussey who singled up the middle to plate the first run. In the fifth, Kyle Gordon was hit by a pitch to lead off and moved to third after a Redahan single and a groundout. He scored on a RBI-groundout by Gianno Merlonghi.
- Spizzoucco allowed just three hits in the first five innings, but he would get into a jam in the fifth when Le Moyne got runners on second and third with one out. He would get out of trouble by notching a strikeout and a groundout to end the threat.
- The only blemish on Spizzoucco's outing came to lead off the sixth inning when Nick Nevins led off with a homerun to centerfield to make it 2-1.
- CCSU got the run back in the bottom of the sixth on a sac fly by Hunter Pasqualini before padding its lead with three more runs in the seventh. Joe Rios would drive in two runs with a bases-loaded single to make it 5-1. An error on a failed pick off allowed Jeff Nicol to add a run.
- After Le Moyne got a run in the top of the eighth, Central would break the game open with a five-run bottom of the inning. Brady Short would double in two runs to open the scoring and Nicol would ad a two-run single with one out. Michael Torniero drove in a run on a groundout to make it 11-2.
