Volleyball Drops Three-Set Match to Dartmouth
Blue Devils in action again vs. Grand Canyon at 5:30 p.m.
The Central Connecticut volleyball team dropped a three-set match to Dartmouth in the first match of the Dartmouth Big Green Invite this weekend. Dartmouth topped the Blue Devils 26-24, 25-20 and 25-17 to move to 3-1 on the season. The Blue Devils are now 2-5.
Central is in action again at 5:30 p.m. against Grand Canyon. On Saturday they will play a pair of matches vs. Providence (9:30 a.m.) and Manhattan (5 p.m.)
On Friday in the loss to Dartmouth sophomore Heather Trueman led the offense with a team-high 12 kills. She added 14 digs to help lead the defensive attack. Classmate Makenna Lommori had 24 assists and five digs.
Junior Rachel Dunlap added six kills in the loss while freshman Rachel Fish had 11 digs.
