Kilian Sets New School Record in Pentathlon at ECAC Championship Friday
McKenna Kilian set a new program record with a total of 3,511 points.
Senior McKenna Kilian represented the Central Connecticut women's indoor track and field team in day one at the 2018 ECAC Championships earning a third place finish in the women's pentathlon on Friday, March 1 at the BU Track and Tennis Center. Kilian broke the CCSU school record with a grand total of 3,511 points, surpassing her old record of 3,497 that she set last year at the ECAC Championships.
ECAC COMPILED RESULTS - DAY ONE
Kilian set a new collegiate best in the high jump with a leap of 1.66 meters earning a second place finish, for 806 points of her total score. The senior finished third in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:25.65 recording 748 points.
Kilian placed seventh earning 842 points in the 60 meter hurdles, setting a new personal best time of 9.33 seconds. In the long jump, she totaled 612 points for an eighth place finish with a leap of 5.19 meters.
She came in 10th place in the women's shot put with a throw of 9.60 meters totaling 503 points.
The women's field events of the IC4A/ECAC Championships starts tomorrow with the long jump at 3 p.m.
