Brawner, Nesmith, and Rospierski Qualify for Day Two of New England Championships.

The Central Connecticut women's indoor track team qualified three athletes to day two of the New England Championships at the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center in Boston, MA.
Senior Sierra Nesmith qualified for the 400 meter dash after setting a new personal best in the event with a time of 56.52. Junior Megan Brawner advanced to the finals in the 1,000 meter run after finishing second in her heat in 2:58.15.
Junior Hailey Rospierski will compete in the semi-finals for the 60 meter hurdles tomorrow after completing the event in 9.05 during the preliminary round. She also competed in the women's high jump.
Rookie Kaitlyn Stevens participated in the 5,000 meter run and recorded a time of 20:26.57. In the women's pentathlon, senior McKenna Kilian had an impressive showing finishing with a total of 3,383 points.
The Blue Devils will resume action tomorrow starting with Haliey Ropierski in the 60 meter hurdles semi-final at 10:30 a.m.
