Blue Devils have won 10 straight versus NEC opponents
The Central Connecticut State baseball team won its 10th consecutive Northeast Conference game, defeating visiting Coppin State 13-1 in seven innings. The game was played at Dunkin' Park in Harford, CT,
Vincent Borghese earned the win for the Blue Devils as he scattered four hits over seven innings. He fanned six Eagles on the afternoon.

KEY MOMENTS
- CCSU plated three first inning runs, all with two outs, as Bo Yaworski drove in two with a double and came around to score on an Antonio Ducatelli double
- The defense came through in the top of the third when Gianno Merlonghi threw out Noah Hogan, trying to score from second, at home
- Chris Brown made it 5-0 in the bottom of that inning, driving a homerun over the visiting bullpen in left field
- Central platted four more two-out runs in the fourth inning when Brown doubled to right center, scoring Aidan Redahan and Brady Short. In the next at-bat Yaworski homered to right field for two RBI and a 9-0 advantage
- Jayden Clark drove in Jayden Asencio with two outs in the top of the fifth to score the Eagles run
- Colby Brouillette singled up the middle to lead off the fifth for the Blue Devils and advanced to second on a Matt Falk walk and would score on the second of consecutive wild pitches. With Falk on third, Kyle Cordon singled in the infield and Redahan followed with a towering homerun into the second deck in right field for the final three runs of the game

- The Blue Devils have recorded double digit hits in 11 consecutive games
- Brown was 3-3 with four RBI on Saturday and scored three times
- Yaworski also had four RBI in the win, going 3-4 with two runs scored
- Borghese is 4-0 in NEC play and has thrown complete games in each of those four starts – all seven inning games
- Central had seven runs scored with two outs on Saturday
- Merlonghi, in addition to throwing out a runner at the plate, made a catch in right center as he collided with Gordon
- Redahan finished with three RBI, three runs scored and 3-4 at the plate
