Rafter Sets CCSU Record at Raleigh Relays
Central Connecticut women's track and field got its start to the outdoor season on Friday at the Raleigh Relays in North Carolina. Senior runner Angie Rafter broke a CCSU record in the 5000m.
TRACK HIGHLIGHTS FROM DAY 2
- Rafter finished the 5000m in an insane 16:01.22 time, placing 13th and taking a minute off of Brittany Mendelson's record.
- Brooke Morabito earned a top 50 finish in the women's 5000m race, clocking in at 17:34.98.
- Freshman Livvy Pizzitola finished Friday's 100m race with a 12.83 time.
- In the women's 1500m race, Ashley Dana had a 4:36.39 finish time.
FIELD HIGHLIGHTS
- Freshman Alissa Hurd placed 24th in the high jump with a 1.60m jump.
- Aaliyah Walker went for 11.17m in the triple jump Friday.
