Rafter, Dana Combine for 2 First Place Finishes at Ramapo
Central Connecticut women's track and field team took home two first place finishes at the Ramapo Season Opener Saturday from the usual power duo of Angie Rafter and Ashley Dana.
Rafter and Dana dominated the women's 1 mile run, finishing first and second at 4:53.13 and 4:55.38, respectively.
Dana took home a gold of her own in the women's 800 meter run, cruising to a 2:18.43 victory.
Alissa Hurd did well once again in the high jump, earning a second place finish with a 1.57m jump.
In the 400 meter dash, Magnalen Camara finished third with a 1:01.34 time. Camara also had a top ten finish in the 200 meter dash, finishing at 27.03.
Livvy Pizzitola finished fourth in the 60 meter dash with a time of 7.98.
Aaliyah Walker grabbed a seventh place finish in the women's long jump, going for 4.95m. Walker finished fifth in the triple jump with an impressive 10.75 distance.
The Blue Devils finished fifth in the 4x400 relay.
CCSU track and field will be competing again next weekend at the Great Dane Classic in Albany, NY.
