The Central Connecticut women's basketball team visits Atlantic Coast Conference member Syracuse at the Carrier Dome for its final non-conference game of the 2014-15 season on Tuesday, Dec. 30. The Blue Devils are coming off an extended break from game action and are looking to end the 2014 calendar year with a victory. CCSU and Syracuse are scheduled for a 7 p.m. tip-off.

Series History • The Blue Devils are 0-1 all-time against the Orange of Syracuse. The only meeting of the series came during the 1987-88 season with the Orange winning 79-69. CCSU is also 0-7 all-time against current members of the Atlantic Coast Conference. The Blue Devils most recent meeting with an ACC member came in December 2012 when CCSU played at the University of Miami, falling 64-43.
A Break in the Action • It has been 17 days since the Blue Devils played Army on Dec. 13. CCSU has not played a game since then and after today's contest will jump into Northeast Conference play and the league's Saturday-Monday weekly format starting on Jan. 3.
Three Straight Against NCAA Tournament Teams • CCSU's game against Fordham started a stretch of three straight games against teams that played in the NCAA Tournament last season. Fordham and Army both earned automatic bids by winning a conference championship and Syracuse - an ACC program - earned an at-large berth.
Musgrave Emerging as Scoring Threat • Freshman Camden Musgrave is quickly becoming a scoring threat for the Blue Devils. The Maryland native dropped in a new career-high 16 points in just 24 minutes of action against Army on Dec. 13. Musgrave is averaging 10.6 points over her last five games and has scored in double-digits three times this season. She is also tied for the team lead in scoring at 8.4 points per game.
