Previously For Both Teams • On Saturday night, the Blue Devils dropped their first of four road games at Mount St. Mary's, 66-81. The Seahawks last defeated Fairleigh Dickinson 74-66 on the Knights home floor. Wagner's leading scorer, Kerstie Phills sank a game high 18 points, leading five other players in double-figures.
Series History (25-15) • Monday nights match marks the 41st meeting between Wagner and Central Connecticut, with the Blue Devils holding a 10-game advantage in the series. CCSU faced the Seahawks in its NEC home-opener back on Dec. 29, prevailing 66-53. Last season the teams split the 2015-16 series, 1-1, with Wagner winning on the road at Central on Feb. 20, 64-63. CCSU stole a victory from WC on Jan. 16, 62-52, in Staten Island.
Last Timeout • The Central Connecticut women's basketball team could not overcome two large Mount St. Mary's second half runs, falling, 66-81 on the road Saturday. The Mountaineers shot 46.4% compared to 29.0% by CCSU in the second half. Senior Aleah Epps scored a game-high 19 points, grabbed 10 rebounds, and dished out six assists in her fourth double-double this season.

The NEC's second ranked shot-blocker and rebounder (8.7 rpg) , brings her season blocked shots total to 38, surpassing Keisha Carmichael ('89-90) and Kirsten Daamen ('09-10) for ninth place in most blocked shots in a single season.
