Women's Basketball Adds Six for 2017-18
The Blue Devils announce six newcomers to the women's basketball program.
Central Connecticut women's basketball head coach Beryl Piper has announced that six new faces will join the program for the 2017-18 season. The newcomers include four true freshman, a fifth-year graduate and a third-year junior college transfer.
The Blue Devils are coming off a record of 11-20 overall and 9-9 in the Northeast Conference. In last year's NEC Tournament, the number six seed CCSU knocked off the third-seeded Saint Francis Red Flash in the quarterfinals and then concluded its season in the conference semifinal in a hard fought battle at first seeded Robert Morris who went on to win the 2017 NEC Championship.
