Series History • It has been 26 years since the Blue Devils and Pirates have faced each other, with Seton Hall leading the series (2-0). The two squads first met on Jan. 15, 1990, with Seton Hall claiming the victory, 73-45. Central dropped the second contest less than a year later, on Dec. 15, 1990, 66-50. CCSU has never faced UT Arlington or San Diego State in its program history.

Last Timeout • CCSU fell to Atlantic 10 opponent, UMass, 76-37, on Wednesday afternoon on the Minutewomen's homefloor. Sophomore Kiana Patterson led the Blue Devils with 14 points, and senior forward, Giocelis Reynoso, tied career-highs in rebounds and blocks, pulling down 13 boards and rejecting four Minutewomen shots in just 15 minutes of action. Central Connecticut was limited to 22.2% shooting compared to Massachusetts' 48.4% from the field. Despite falling behind 20 points after the first 10 minutes of the game, Central found their offense in the second quarter, out-scoring the Minutewomen, 21-14. Freshman Cebria Outlow sparks the momentum for the Blue Devils, when she putback a missed free throw for an "and-one". Patterson then connected on three consecutive three-pointers to cut the Central deficit to nine points, with 1:32 left before the break. However, UMass forced 25 Blue Devil turnovers, and converted 33 points off of the extra opportunities. Sophomore Andi Lydon ended the game with eight rebounds, and a career-high five assists.
